On this page is a collection of Options learning tools that I have collected and used over time. Some are free; some are not; one or two are even quite expensive. All are useful. All have value. This is the result of years of filtering through hype, fluff and marketing to get to a narrowed down list of good quality material that will help option traders at every level.
Too often we think of investment in terms of money and/or time. Don't forget that EDUCATION is an investment that has multiple, highly leveraged returns in the long run.

Options University - provides a series of online courses and software that will give you the edge and help you become a successful options trader. The material I provide on this website is free, but OU provide
 a ton of top class material that is literally at the university level in terms of derivatives trading. If you are serious about trading, and need the good software that goes with the course material, you really should consider doing this excellent course.

Trading Pro System - this very popular course focuses on some option trading strategies that are ideal for beginners or the risk averse. With 25 hours of video material, the exact details of technical analysis, setting a trade and exits. The material is clearly presented, and I have had incredibly positive feed back from my readers.
Technical Analysis Tools
Candlestick Analysis - essential knowledge for the swing trader
 1. Candlestick Warrior - a great programme with flashcards. Within a month you will have memorised and be able to instantly recognise all of the major candlestick patterns. The learning technique is the same that you would use for learning a language.
 2. Candlestick Trading for Maximum Profits - a thorough, in depth course with books and video. Not just a course on candlestick charting, but a candlestick trading methodology is included, for stocks and options trading. How to distinguish between true reversal signals and false signals.
 3. OU Candlestick Secrets Course - Option University's famous course on the secrets of candlestick trading. Includes an 82 page PDF manual for instant download, a complete set of candlestick flashcards, and unlimited access to an online web tutorial.
Chart Analysis - various free tools for chart analysis
 1. INO Free analysis - enter your symbol and receive a free technical analysis. If you setup a portfolio of your favourite stocks, you get a daily email with a trend analysis for your picks about an hour before trading begins, making it easy to set up trades. This is one of my most utilised tools, and I use it every day with Credit Spread Trading.
2. Stock Consultants - a very detailed a thorough analysis of any stock. Up to 10 stocks per day for free. This is another one that I use daily for my Credit Spread Trading - it provides excellent data on trends, and in particular, support and resistance levels.

1. Volcone Analyzer Pro - OU's excellent software for live options trading. Volatility analysis instantly lets you know whether your proposed trade has profit potential or not.
Calculators
1. Optionvue Research's Probability Calculator - simple, free calculator that I use constantly for setting up credit spread trades.
2. Optionvue Research's Fair Value Calculator - To see whether an option being traded is fairly valued, use the Fair Value Calculator to determine your trade bias. As options trading is primarily based of this concept, this is an important feature that helps determine whether current options prices are over-valued or under-valued.
